Thanks for another way to remind job seekers about the Job & Career Fair to be held at the Olds Sports Complex (Arena) on Wednesday, May 13 from noon to 6 p.m.
The Centre for Employment is hosting the event, and it promises to be a different Job Fair – one that features a smaller number of employers than last year, but has a strong assortment of training opportunities and community supports.
If you haven’t heard the stories of the Great Depression, and the multiple depressions since the Thirties, you are about to be able to wear the t-shirt “Surviving the 2009 Depression”. It will be a challenge, as more around us are being hit with job loss in the short run. But in the long run, we know we will be leaner and more adaptable, will curb our wants and deal with our needs. We will be a stronger economy when we come out of the other side of this.
Kudos to all who attend the Job Fair 2009 edition and contribute by collecting information or giving it, on what the signs are in our local, regional and world economies.
