The new Fine Arts and Multimedia Centre will be one the province’s five official flagship sites for Alberta Arts Days. Numerous performers, a visual arts show and various worshops will be held through out the day on September19.09. The day performances are free admission.
The evening performance features the Canadian Country Music Association award winning Gordon Bamford , the Polyjesters and Jenn Beaupre. The evening event tickets can be purchased by calling 403 556 4762. A schedule of events is also available at www.communitylearningcampus.ca
In order for as many people as possible to celebrate the event, portions of the day’s activities will be broadcast to the various community endagement sites located through out central alberta.
Lindsay Blackett the Minister of Culture and Community Spirit says that ‘ From September 18 t0 20 we are paying homage to our local artists and celebrating our unique and vibrant culture. We’ll start will start to look at them in the same way we do our Olympic athletes and hockey players with reverence because they’re every bit as talented and every bit as important and we should be proud”
